About Therapy

Let’s be real – no more pretending.
Life’s a lot, and pretending everything is fine is not working.
Most individuals who find their way here have spent years holding everything together for their families, jobs, and communities.
They’ve powered through burnout, ignored anxiety, and pushed their needs to the bottom of the list. And now, they’re tired – not physically but emotionally and mentally drained.
Therapy helps you over life’s challenges.
When you become a client at Healing Hearts and Minds, therapy becomes a space where you can finally exhale. There’s no pressure to fix everything in one session and no expectation to be anyone but who you are right now. Our time together concerns your story, pain, hopes, and healing.
You’ll find warmth, honesty, and someone who listens in the therapy room. Some sessions feel light and filled with laughter; others are deeper and more reflective.
We go at your pace. I’ll challenge you when needed, cheer for your growth, and gently hold space when things feel heavy.

Our work is relational, not rigid.
It’s not about a quick fix but about meaningful progress.
Over time, you’ll learn to hear your voice again, trust your instincts, and approach life more clearly and confidently.
I want you to leave each session feeling more grounded, empowered, and capable than when you walked in.
No matter where you are in your journey, this is a place where healing feels possible and personal.
About Janaé Clark, LPC, NBCC

Personal experience guides my approach.
Before becoming a therapist, I was the go-to person in my circle, the one people came to when they needed a safe space. But I was also someone who struggled.
I’ve experienced seasons of burnout, anxiety, and identity loss, and I’ve sat on the other side of the therapy room. I know what it feels like to be vulnerable, to search for clarity, and to hope that someone truly understands.
That gift for listening and holding space eventually became my calling. As a result, I earned my degree in counseling and have spent years supporting people through life transitions, trauma, burnout, and emotional overwhelm.
The mission of Healing Hearts and Minds is simple: to create a therapeutic space that honors the whole person emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I believe healing happens when you’re met with compassion, challenged with purpose, and supported without judgment.
What is therapy like with me?
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Healing Hearts and Minds, LLC. I help individuals who feel emotionally exhausted, anxious, or stuck reconnect with themselves and move toward a more aligned and authentic life because I know how transformative it can be to feel seen, supported, and understood finally.
I’m licensed in Georgia and South Carolina and offer in-person sessions in Georgia and virtual sessions for those located in South Carolina. I work with individuals of all ages, including children as young as four.
My foundational approach is person-centered therapy, meaning I view you as the expert on your life. Depending on your goals and needs, I may incorporate other evidence-based modalities, such as CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy.
Outside of my practice…
I’m also a floral designer, a wife, and a mom. I enjoy creating beauty and calm in everyday spaces through a bouquet or a therapy session. I believe healing happens best when you feel seen, supported, and safe.
I’d be honored to walk with you if you’re ready to start that process.
