How long are sessions?

Each session is approximately 50 minutes.

Do you take insurance? Why or why not?

What is your professional training and experience?

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Mental and Clinical Health Counseling. I’m also board-certified through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).

I have experience working with children, teens, and adults facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, trauma, and life transitions. I’ve been in the mental health field for several years and bring personal and professional understanding to this work.

What age ranges do you work with?

I work with individuals ages four and up.

Do you work with women? Men? Couples?

I work with individuals of all genders. I do not provide couples counseling.

What do you do in sessions with clients?

Sessions are client-led and collaborative. Some days, we dig deep into emotions and patterns, while on other days, we focus on skill-building or processing recent experiences. You set the pace and focus. I’m here to guide, challenge, and support.

Do your clients receive assignments between sessions?

Sometimes! If helpful, I may suggest journaling prompts, reflection exercises, or tools to try between sessions. But nothing is ever mandatory. We’ll discuss what works for your lifestyle.

What modalities do you use?

I primarily use person-centered therapy, but I also integrate CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), mindfulness practices, and strengths-based approaches depending on your needs.

How do I get the most out of working with you?

Come as you are, honest, open, and ready to explore what’s going on in your life. The clients who get the most out of therapy stay curious, reflect between sessions, and trust the process, even when it gets tough.

Is it okay if I cry during sessions?

Absolutely. Crying is a natural, healthy part of processing emotions – and you’re never judged for showing up as your whole self here.

What if I feel like I’m just complaining?

You’re not. If something bothers you enough to bring it into therapy, it matters. There’s a difference between venting and healing; sometimes, the work begins with saying things aloud.

What if I sound like a brat?

You won’t. In therapy, you get to be honest, even messy or complicated. You can express your frustration, sadness, anger, and everything else.

Is it okay if I joke around or use humor?

Absolutely! Humor is welcome here. It can be a powerful tool for connection and healing. We can laugh and do the work.

Do I have to have a significant trauma to come to therapy?

Nope. If life feels heavy, confusing, overwhelming, or just “off,” that’s reason enough to reach out. Big or small, your experiences are valid.

Do you still have questions?

Reach out directly. I’d love to connect and help you feel confident about taking the next step toward therapy.
